This is our final full day at the Fairmont Mount Kenya Safari Club.  Last night Arturo Loria and Irene Gonzalez (to the right) hosted a reception on their fabulous lanai, with John Polking of Houston, TX and Bonnie Evans of Wilmington, NC in the background.  Some photos:

Susan and Eric Taub, Tauck Tour Director Debbie and the Masai.

Bonnie Evans (Wilmington, NC) and Edna Mason (Jackson, WY):

Mary and Jim Eissinger of Lubock, TX.

Flo Steele and Hank Kirby of Cape Coral, FL.

Gloria and Reg Kuszynski from Clinton Township MI.

Ed Evans (Wilmington, NC), Norm Mason (Jackson, WY) and Hugh Powell (Duxbury, MA).

There was an equator ceremony at the Safari Club and the Masai honored me (and the group) over a red carpet.  The equator passes just in front of me.  I'm in the southern hemisphere and the north is ahead of me.

Tomas is now a tropical storm at 50 MPH and is predicted to move north:
