COVID-19: HONOLULU--Rainbow of the Pacific

Summary:   Looks like the USA is settling at "only" 500 new deaths/day.  Knowing the American people, as much as this is necessary, it does worry me that a sudden switch of attitude and promotion of a national plan for this pandemic could well propel Donald Trump to victory on November 3.

The primary speakers tonight for the Democratic Convention will be Bill Clinton (but he gets only one whole minute), Jill Biden (thus, the keynoter...left, PhD in education), Rep. Alexandria Ocasio Cortez, plus Senate pals, Chuck Schumer and John Kerry.  Diversity was on display.  Two highlights were Michelle Obama, who nevertheless should have given a live-speech, and former Republican Governor John Kasich, for if he swings just a percentage point of Republicans to vote for Biden in battleground states, that could make that key difference for electoral votes.

On that note, the New York Times today reported:

Burn it all down. Republicans who enabled Trump should go down with him, says the Lincoln Project, a Never Trump super PAC running ads against vulnerable G.O.P. senators. Losing control of the Senate would be “a fitting end to their sycophantic and irresponsible tenure in the Trump era,” The Washington Post’s Jennifer Rubin has written.

The Trump administration finalized plans yesterday to open up part of the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge in Alaska to oil and gas development. The decision ends six decades of protections for the refuge, the largest remaining stretch of wilderness in the United States.

Not only is Trump pro-fossil fuels, but he also continues to downplay the coming crisis of global warming.

I have these wild dreams like Rainbow Pearls, International and Hawaii hosting a World Expo.  So why not Honolulu, the Rainbow of the Pacific.

I had a curry lunch bento on Magic Island, with Kakaako, where I grew up, in the background.

I then noticed the array of buildings, with colors somewhat reminiscent of a part of a rainbow, starting purplish from the left to blue to greenish to the right, with a dash of yellowish.

That open space to the right will bring at least half a dozen high rises over the next few years:

Is there any way to motivate those developers to adjust their color pattern such that they coordinate with the city to change their blue/white/traditional aesthetics to shades of yellow, orange and red in the right sequence?

Tomorrow I lay out a possible design for the Blue Revolution headquarters.
