WHATEVER HAPPENED TO SARAH BRIGHTMAN, MICHAEL CRAWFORD and DONALD TRUMP?

Sarah Brightman remains actively touring.  She is now 58 years old.  Michael Crawford is 77 and spends most of his time in charity work.

Brightman made her West End London debut in Cats in 1981 at the age of 21.  Andrew Lloyd Webber. who composed the show, first met Brightman in a bar, subsequently casting her in that show.  They were an obvious couple until 1984, when they divorced their spouses and got secretly married.

Two years later, Webber wrote and produced The Phantom of the Opera, where Brightman became the original Christine, with Michael Crawford as the Phantom.  In 1988, they moved to Broadway, the Majestic Theater, with the same starring cast.  How many of you know that it just kept playing, and continues today as the longest-running show in Broadway history?  By April 2019 Phantom had been staged over 13,000 times.  The marriage itself ended in 1990 when she had an affair.

Michael Crawford was in the 1966 A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum and 1969 Hello Dolly, with Barbra Streisand.  He has been President of the Sick Children's Trust since 1987.

Here are 15 of Brightman's Greatest Hits.  Crawford and Brightman sing All I Ask of You at the Royal Albert Hall.

Further on U.S.-U.K. relations, Kim Darroch, British ambassador to the USA, just resigned.  As you know, some of his private diplomatic cables back home were leaked, incurring the wrath of President Donald Trump.  The bottom line, though, is that his views apparently reflect similar attitudes of many other ambassadors.  What did Darroch say?  The Trump administration was "inept and insecure."  He is not just any government employee.  He was knighted in 2008 and is referred to as Sir Kim Darroch.

Why has Trump's "A Team" (not including cabinet) seen a 74% turnover?  With a year and a half to go, here are some comparisons with previous White Houses (note, the others are for 4 years) on departures of cabinet members:
  • Reagan:  6
  • HW Bush:  8
  • Clinton:  4
  • W Bush:  2
  • Obama:  3
  • TRUMP:  9
What appears to be the frightening reality is, with clear exceptions (like those EPA heads), that depiction above is misleading, for nothing is much wrong with those who served in his cabinet.  It has become clear that the leader of the free world and PUS (President of the United States) of my country is wacko.  What is troublesome is that most of his loyal supporters cannot now accept this obviousness for the good of the country and humanity?

The Dow Jones Industrial again broke its all-time high, rising 244 to 27,332.

Barry should attain hurricane strength within hours and make landfall Saturday morning 100 miles west of New Orleans through Vermillion Bay over Marsh Island:

Storm surges up to 6 feet and rain up to 2 feet could fall.  The worst thing Barry can do now is to stall.
