TTT2019: Day 14--Mount Fuji and New Sanno Hotel

Left Nagoya on the Shinkansen and had a magnificent view of Mount Fuji:

Mount Fuji, as you must know, is the highest mountain in Japan at 12,389 feet.  Fuji-san last erupted in 1707-8 and is only 60 miles southwest of Tokyo.  You might want to read my posting of five years ago.

Back in Tokyo we found our way to the New Sanno Hotel, where we are being hosted by someone from the USA with a military link.  I've previously stayed here half a dozen times on missions for the American Government.  Huge advantage:  really, really, really cheap, with good service, high security and excellent restaurants.

We had dinner at Wellingtons.  I started with escargots and salad:

And went on to share a nice lamb roast and New York Steak:

This meal involved three mysterious people, plus me.

Tomorrow, off the Shinjuku Park and Jindaiji
