I awoke in the morning at sunrise:
The usual fabulous breakfast buffet at the Tokyo Westin:
Most of those dishes are mine. You can't get a sense of the magnitude, so here is just that salad to the right:
While sitting at my seat, I took this photo. Any idea what?
I then went to the concierge to ask where I should to activate our Japan Rail Passes. While in line, a lady came up to me and apologized for my check-in the previous day, and that they had arranged for me to move to my usual room with a view of Mount Fuji as soon as I wish. I wonder how she could pick me out to make amends. So we moved, and here was our view:
We then went to Ueno Station to register our Japan Rail Passes and make the seat assignments. This is a difficult period because of the cherry blossoms and upcoming Golden Week. But most of this went well. There were some mistakes we will need to correct tomorrow.
We walked over to Ueno Park to see how the cherry blossoms were doing. The peak is still a week away, but there were some nice scenes:

This is the store I've been purchasing my $3 walking canes, because I lose them. The Bangkok Daiso sells this cane for $2.
Back to our room at sunset:
Tomorrow, we're off to Osaka. What a cheap day: a free great breakfast, no lunch, and dinner at the Executive Lounge.
