People rarely comment on my blogs. Leighton yesterday did, and brought up the subjects of god and God. Today, I noticed a Google ad over my site translation (flags) for a book on God, A Natural Philosophy by Albert Forcier. The timing was like this was God, all-knowing and omnipresent, sending a nanobolt from above. At least there those who might believe so.
That ad disappeared the next time I looked, and comes and goes with something else by some computer logic, I guess. But, as this is Sunday, a traditional day in this country for church, diatribes on TV and even some remnant blue laws, I thought I would carry the discussion a tad further.
If you clicked on A Natural Philosophy, for equal time, also link to Answer.com: agnosticism/atheism. Religious articles on The Huffington Post draw thousands of responses, so there no doubt is considerable interest out there on this nebulous topic. A year after his book on the End of Faith, Sam Harris had a HuffPo on There is no God (and You Know It). There, too, are hordes of blogs, as Inner Minds, for example.
You can spend your whole day and rest of your life just pursuing the question of what is god or God, so I'll do you a great favor, I'll stop here. Have a great day!

Ah, a new visitor. Welcome, my 152nd country:
FAROE ISLANDS POPULATION: 48,856
« Previous Country | Next Country » Back to Top Countries | ![]() |
| Background | |
| The population of the Faroe Islands is largely descended from Viking settlers who arrived in the 9th century. The islands have been connected politically to Denmark since the 14th century. A high degree of self government was granted the Faroese in 1948, who have autonomy over most internal affairs, while Denmark is responsible for justice, defense, and foreign affairs. The Faroe Islands are not part of the European Union. |

Faroe in Danish is sheep, so you can already imagine the rustic countryside. There are 18 major islands, the total area adding up to about the island of Oahu.

If, however, you are thinking of flying to Faroe Islands, inquire with Atlantic Airways to check on the status of Eyjafjallajokull volcano, which is still erupting. In fact, you don't have to wait until the ash gets to you. You can now purchase a souvenir bottle of this stuff.
