The Thursday, 27 February 2020, issue of the Star Advertiser had a full-page ad on the book, Dark Agenda: The War to Destroy Christian America, written by David Horowitz. He cites:
- The shocking way Congress scrubbed every mention of God from the U.S. Capitol Visitor Center.
- Why Hollywood stars like Bill Maher, who belligerently states religion must die in order for mankind to live, are finding a huge following among the Democratic left and Millennials.
- How Barack Obama has become the hero of the anti-God, anti-religious left. In a Pew poll, 17% of Americans thought he was Muslim. There is that conspiracy theory that he is the antichrist of Christian eschatology.
- The true facts about Donald Trump's faith--and the real reason evangelical Christians and Catholics are rallying behind him. The confusion here is Trump seems to be both an anti-Jewish and an anti-Muslim crusader.
Quoted are people like:
- Alan Dershowitz: Horowitz exposes the intolerance of many atheists toward those who believe in God. As a Jewish agnostic, I think it is imperative that disbelievers not demonize believers and that believers not demonize disbelievers. The search for ultimate truths is a never ending process that demands an open and respectful marketplace of ideas open to all.
- Mike Huckabee (here with daughter Sarah, former press secretary of President Donald Trump): One of the most intellectually compelling and rational defenses of Christianity's role in America. A delightfully readable explanation of how Christian principles were the bedrock of the American Revolution, and how the anti-American left has targeted Christians because of that.
You can go to Amazon and buy a hardcover for $18.39, or $15.99 for the Kindle edition. However, what caught my attention to this newspaper ad was that, if you act now, you can claim a FREE copy. Provided is a online site, Dark411.com/HAS and toll-free number, 1 800 307 9743. WHY???
So I looked up David Horowitz:
- Received a BA from Columbia University in 1959, majoring in English, and a master's degree in English literature at the University of California, Berkeley.[11]
- Published an Academic Bill of Rights (ABR), which he proposes to eliminate political bias in university hiring and grading.
- Says conservatives, and particularly Republican Party members, are systematically excluded from faculties, citing statistical studies on faculty party affiliation.[45]
He is supported by organizations like the Bradley Foundation, advocating limited government, federalism, freedom of religion, free markets and informed citizens. He is affiliated with Jihad Watch, an anti-Muslim conspiracy blog site produced by Robert Spencer, who frequently appears on Fox News, and in 2013 was barred from the United Kingdom for making statements that may foster hatred that might lead to inter-community violence.
The bottom line is that David Horowitz is anti-Muslim, and I suspect the books are being provided FREE of charge through the support of people like Joyce and Aubrey Chernick, who are ardent supporters of Zionist causes. By just reporting on this effort, I could well be helping to spread this manner of thinking.
Then again, this is a free country, and all sides of issues should be offered for your pleasure and not. I stay at Marriott hotels (they bought out Sheraton) and noticed copies of The Bible and Book of Mormon in all their rooms, as has been the case since 1950. I gather they want you to take them with you if you wish.
So is there a Muslim conspiracy to destroy Christian America? The radical leadership, surely. Not necessarily Christianity, but America itself. About a quarter century ago, Samuel Huntington published The Clash of Civilizations and the Remaking of World Order. He argued that future wars (this was soon after the Cold War ended) would be fought, not between countries, but between cultures. Highlighted was Muslim rage.
The combination of Israel in the midst of the Islamic Middle East has indeed tested world order. Sure, religion is involved, but the conflict is, perhaps, more political, economic and sociological.
