Today, one of those internet ads spurred me to post on your liver. In summary:
- Your liver is the largest and heaviest internal organ, weighing in at around 3 pounds. Your brain also weighs about this much, but your heart is probably less than 3/4 of a pound.
- It is reddish brown and rubbery to the touch.
- Your gallbladder sits under the liver, along with parts of the pancreas and intestines.
- The main job is to filter, detoxify chemicals and metabolize drugs in your blood coming from the digestive tract to the rest of the body.
- Stores vitamins.
- If you're a goose, this organ is eaten as foie gras

Are there any natural liver support supplements that work? According to this ad, yes, those containing milk thistle, dandelion, chanca piedra (a tropical plant found in coastal areas and known as gale of the wind and other names--to the right below) and artichoke. Great, I love artichoke. The top supplement of 2018, rated 94%, is VitaLiver. A three month supply of six bottles for $264 has been discounted until August 17 to $162.
I don't know who they are and I don't trust those ads that suddenly appear in your electronic mail. If you find the above worthy of taking a next step, check with your personal doctor. What do I plan to do? Well, some of those symptoms mentioned above do worry me. Of course, anything can cause them, so, in my present state of enjoying life to the fullest, I just might move on and even further enhance my lifestyle.
