OUR PLANET HAS CONTINUED TO WARM SINCE 2000

‘Planet Has Cooled Since Bush Took Office’ – Scientists Continue Dissenting – Gore Admits 'I've failed badly' - Global Sea Ice GROWS!

'Global Warming Theory has ‘failed consistently and dramatically’

These came from Free Republic, a conservative internet forum.

What about?

Earth has Cooled since Bush took Office

This came from Conservatism Today.

The Heartland Foundation regularly discredits global warming. Exxon was an early and major funder.

My Chapter 5 of SIMPLE SOLUTIONS for Planet Earth goes into some detail on this subject. The above campaign, unfortunately, has worked! The public is confused and coal state Democrats in Congress maintain their coolness about climate change legislation because they know their constituency also has doubts about global warming. The fact that cap and trade or the carbon tax will of course raise the price of gasoline and electricity helps the cause of conservatives, Democrats from coal states and most Republicans.

Our Congress will not this year pass any global climate change legislation, but if the current cap and trade package sneaks through, that will probably be more bad than good because it is so flawed. I can't imagine President Barack Obama showing up in Copenhagen this December only to embarrass himself again after that Chicago Olympics fiasco.

Well, is our planet, then, cooling? NO! The following report from the NASA Goddard Institute for Space Studies indicates that the ten warmest years on record have occurred from 1997 to 2008. WHO DO YOU BELIEVE? Conservatives, oil companies and Republicans or NASA Goddard?

(PhysOrg.com) -- Climatologists at the NASA Goddard Institute for Space Studies (GISS) in New York City have found that 2008 was the coolest year since 2000. The GISS analysis also showed that 2008 is the ninth warmest year since continuous instrumental records were started in 1880. The ten warmest years on record have all occurred between 1997 and 2008.

The Dow Jones Industrials jumped 132 today to 10081. The Japan Nikkei, incidentally is up to 10367, as markets in the Orient all went up, and those in Europe all dropped. Crude oil slipped a bit to $81/barrel and gold went up $4/toz to $1062.

Typhoon Lupit will skirt just north of Northern Luzon, but as like Typhoon Parma, is slowing down, and will dump a lot of rain with some serious wind. The speculation is that Lupit will pretty much affect this region for three days, then move northeast, possibly missing Taiwan to the east.

Hurricane Neki is now, at 95 MPH, and is located just west of Kauai, but will mostly move north.
