Yesterday I was all set to watch the Grammys, something I've generally avoided, for I don't recognize anything being awarded. I searched back and found a posting I wrote in 2011, where I quote:
The Grammys derived from and are in the shape of the Gramophone (the invention by Emile Berliner), although Thomas Edison did win a Grammy award last year. The initial award ceremony occurred in 1959 when I was a freshman in college (the Song of the Year was Domenico Modugno’s Nel Blue Dipinto di Blu) and first televised in 1971 as I was close to finishing my PhD.
I went on to say that this 2011 version was probably the first one I had ever watched from beginning to end. Click on the above reportage, for in those days the program featured singers like Mick Jagger and Barbra Streisand.
Also yesterday, I had the title of this posting already decided: Who is Izzo? Born as Melissa Viviane Jefferson, this singer-songwriter-rapper-flautist was recently on the cover as Time's Entertainer of the Year.
You probably don't know her, too. For one, while she is already 31, only began to crank out hits the past few years. She received 8 nominations for this 62nd year of the Grammy Awards. However, she ended up winning in "only" three minor categories. The Rolling Stones have been around since 1962 (58 years!!!) and won three, total.
I should not, but I will comment on her weight. She has a Body-Mass Index of 44.2 .

Thus, I switched the focus, so okay, who is that girl with the GREEN HAIR?
She, too, might look like 31, but is only 18. Her full name is Billie Eilish Pirate Baird O'Connell...raised in Los Angeles. She won five Grammys, including the top four categories. Her debut EP in 2017 was Don't Smile at Me (this is the entire half an hour album). Her first real album, When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go? (this, too, is the full album, 43 minutes), was released last year. So quickly, but she now has 13 platinum and four gold singles, with two records in Guinness.
About that second album title, last night I was into another adventure trying to sleep, and came up with a possible combined solution. I generally have difficulty sleeping because my mind is too active. The fewer problems I have, the harder time I have at falling asleep. This current euphoric stage I'm in has this downside.
So I checked, and the Sleep Foundation indicated, YES, meditation can help. Secondly, I take high blood pressure pills and I sometimes, combined with food and exercise, can get a bit dizzy because my pressure drops too much. I wonder if I take half a pill half an hour before I go to bed, then the other half when I wake up to go to the bathroom, this adjustment can help me sleep better? The Mayo Clinic reported that high blood pressure can cause sleep deprivation. I'll let you know in a week or so.

But back to Billie, while she might be a bit strange, does write her own songs, with older brother Finneas, who also produces the effort. Finneas Eilish won two Grammys. Can you believe this list of stars who have never won a Grammy?

Mind you, the Grammys did recognize some of them with Lifetime Awards.

About President Donald Trump, with Benjamin Netanyahu at his side, revealed was the intention of unveiling an infallible Middle East peace plan tomorrow, which was supposed to have been announced today. Perhaps John Bolton's leaked bombshell book threw the timing off. In any case, not only is Trump in trouble, but Netanyahu is in worse shape back home and not quite at this time truly running his country. Oh, also, no representatives from the PLO or Iran or...all the other impacted countries, plan to show up.
