I'll lead off with Hurricane Milton, who began the day at 85 MPH, but is now up to 175 MPH as a Category 5 Super Hurricane. The expectation is a drop in strength to a Category 2 when the eye, as now projected, will pass over Tampa Wednesday afternoon, then Orlando. Hurricane Milton should leave Florida around midnight, and will be in the Atlantic Ocean as a Category 1.
- 1200 were killed, and 200 taken hostage, with 100 probably still alive somewhere in the Gaza Strip.
- 41,000 have so far been killed in the Gaza Strip, mostly civilians.
- Israel continues to bomb the Gaza Strip.
- Beirut now too, killing more than 1400 in Lebanon.
- Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said his country faces war on SEVEN fronts.
- The Middle East is in an advanced state of a major war.
On the Donald Trump vs Kamala Harris front, tomorrow will signal the 4-week period to November 5.
- Harris taped an interview with CBS 60 Minutes, to air tonight.
- Trump suggested that undocumented immigrants who commit murder have bad genes, this is in a radio interview on The Hugh Hewittt Show. Further said that Harris allowed 13,000 murderers to cross the border. Of course, he never has any proof. But his supporters believe him.
- By the way, the Supreme Court is now in session. What damage will they next do? They are the ones that have caused this current election chaos.
This is Nobel Prize season. Will you win one? An American duo just was named in medicine for pioneering gene discovery. Has to do with microRNA. The COVID Pandemic made this subject popular. They are Victor Ambros (University of Massachusetts Medical School) and Gary Ruvkan (Harvard Medical School).
I now only travel to "safe" spots on Planet Earth. Learned on our recent global journey that the USA is now considered to be relatively dangerous.
- I found it most interesting that Memphis is #11, Baltimore #15, Detroit #17, Albuquerque #20, St. Louis #27 and Oakland #28. The World Population also has a list of the most dangerous countries, and guess what, THE USA IS AMONG THE WORST OF THESE!!!
The Global Peace Index lists the 20 most dangerous countries.

Let's see now, Condé Nast Traveler just published its Best 20 Countries to Visit list. How are they for safety?
- #20 Seychelles. Never been there. But must be okay.
- #19 Mexico. I will visit spots in Mexico during the next few weeks, but from a cruise ship. I find it relatively safe to be part of a tour group, almost anywhere.
- #18 Ireland. Been there, but that was a long time ago. I'd go back today. No war on that island anymore.
- #17 Malta. Think I've been there. Don't wish to go back, safe or not.
- #16 Australia. Not as comfortable today as before, but still okay. I can see at least one more visit.
- #15 Vietnam. Was there a few years ago. Okay. Will drop by a city or two on an upcoming cruise.
- #14 Costa Rica. Not as safe as before, but I plan to take a small tour when the Norwegian Encore gets into port later this month.
- #13 Spain. I don't trust Madrid, and was just in Barcelona. Seemed okay.
- #12 Croatia. Never been there, but don't see an opportunity. Will be in Europe next month, but no plans to visit here.
- #11 Greece. Was just there on my recent trip. Kind of been there, done that.
- #10 Sri Lanka. Kind of iffy today.
- # 9 Canada. Love Canada. Will be in Vancouver on my Spring 2025 trip.
- # 8 Portugal. Been there, seen enough.
- # 7 Italy. Was just in Rome, but in a tour group. Milan is downright dangerous.
- # 6 Maldives. Stopped by last year. Okay, but nothing much to do.
- # 5 New Zealand. Okay place. Will probably try to sneak in a final visit.
- # 4 France. Hate Paris, too many mostly gypsies trying to steal what you have in broad daylight. They prey on the vulnerable. I'm one. Other parts of France generally okay.
- # 3 Thailand. One of my favorite countries. Will go back for sure. Very safe.
- # 2 Switzerland. Will be in Zurich in December.
- # 1 Japan. Very safe place. Will be going to the Osaka Expo in April of next year.
