Ah, it's Saturday, and I found a draft of a posting I never sent weeks ago. I had already begun clearing out my desktop. To the left, Sacha Baron Cohen, who was just nominated for the Oscar as Best Supporting Actor, playing Abbie Hoffman from The Trial of the Chicago Seven, which got 90/91 ratings from Rotten Tomatoes. I thought after his performance, he showed political potential, like Arnold Schwazernegger. However, he and his family moved recently moved to Australia. Maybe there, someday, he'll do something like that. Another from an actor who did get into politics.
And about politics, what is legal or not is all semantics:

Saw these really old photos in the process of clearing out my old computer, starting with the very first enlargement I made in my darkroom when I lived in DC more than 40 years ago. The second shows our Barracuda in Idaho with a lightning bolt. Most of these photos are of that era when Pearl and I spent some time on the mainland, then returned to Honolulu:
The bottom photo actually came from Kilauea, Kauai in 1962...or just about 60 years ago. The circumference of those sunflower seeds was 53 inches. The shot just above that is of Pearl with Mount Ngauruhoe on New Zealand when it was erupting in 1977. You can just about see the smoke, which looks like it is part of the cloud.
Well, it was an excellent week for me with my weight down to 150.4 pounds after walking 16 holes at the Ala Wai Golf Course. I could gave gone 18, but I now choose to skip holes 9 and 10 to have a leisurely apple lunch. This posting is coming via my new iMac, so I have new photos on my desktop too. Here, my celebrating this week with one of my
gourmet salads, featuring caviar, foie gras, prosciutto, croissant and two cheeses, while watching the Masters golf tournament:
